Job Position for Silo Operator Wanted at VKB Group

FULL DESCRIPTIONS:

Our company is looking for the qualified Silo Operator to start working urgently.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have Grade 12 or NQF 4.
• Certificate in grain grading and grain fumigation would serve as advantage
• Must have valid driver’s license for tractor / Front-end Loader would serve as an advantage
• Must be willing to work overtime and shifts
• Must have Clear Criminal Record
• Must have experience in a similar environment will be advantageous

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:  

• Responsible
• Must be punctual
• Must have conflict management skills
• Initiative

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To monitor flow of grain continuously
• Quality Control during storage and processing of products
• Responsible for the correct stacking of Simba maize and maintaining stack cards
• Continuous grain protection through fumigation as determined by supervisor
• To monitor of grain tube temperature and report deviation to superior
• Measure grain tubes according to policy and safety regulations
• To assist with monthly food safety inspections as needed
• To operate silo according to the VKB Group policy and regulations
• To provide general assistance and AD-Hoc tasks as required
• To ensure compliance with safety standards.
• To do any general work as requested by management.
